I am one of the steering members of an international decentralized collective of artists, writers, and curators working under the name Utopian Mega Praxis. We started with the question: what is the endgame of society? Working from this question we engage with speculative fiction, mythical and historical narratives, and futurism to plan and dream about what a global utopia would look like and how to build it. Historically efforts to create utopians have been exclusionary, making them broken from the start. We create exhibitions, publications, and interventions that invite others to dream, speculate, and build with us. Like many mega projects achieving the final goal may never be within reach. However, with this Utopian Mega Project even the smallest progress towards our goal of a global utopia is a step away from our current dystopian state.
